Power supply connector
I recently replaced a hard drive on my ibook g4 per your instructions. Unfortunately I inadvertently pulled the power supply connector off the logic board. Can this be fixed and is it worth the price?

I'll second his procedure as the safest way if you decide to solder. Ralph
An alternative solution to the rather delicate process of soldering would be to try a non conductive glue. My reasoning being that if you make the contact with the wire to the contact, you stand less chance of excess solder running over printed circuit and causing shorts, bridging or other problems.
This is only my theory and an experimental idea, but it's worth a try before replacing the enitre logic board.
Good Luck

I've done this with superglue, but the risk is that you have to be 100% certain it is in the proper position before gluing, otherwise it's very easy to glue it down and discover the contacts are not touching and it's stuck to the board in the wrong position. I recommend fast-drying superglue, and pressing down on the plug for 5 minutes while it is drying. If this fails, you can always go the soldering route.
I was rethought the solution. Perhaps a removable glue such as hot glue or rubber cement will do the same job but leave you room to abort the mission with out the relative permanence of superglue.
I'm guessing you are referring to the power on switch connector. Its possible if you or someone you know is very very good with a soldering iron you might be able to restore the connector to the logic board. What you are probably looking at is a logic board replacement. Ralph
