Cassette tape player's play buttton is jammed - JVC PC-70LB

Hi - I recently found a JVC PC-70LB cassette recorder/player and radio - but the play button is jammed.

The radio portion works just fine - perfectly, actually. But when you switch to the Cassette tape portion of the device, the play button is permanently jammed, and no work with cleaning products seems to have helped it loosen.

Could anyone give me a hand?
