computer will not restart
computer popped while using and went black. will not restart. no charging lights.
Cord has power.

Hi, a "pop" sound from any electronic item is a bad sign (unless they are designed to make that sound of course). It could be any thing a capacitor or a chip or a battery. It could be anything, anywhere... What I can say from your description is that either you have to take it to the service center and get it fixed by replacing the component or just repaired. Worst case scenario, if the repair costs a too much you might have to buy a new one. Hope your problem is small and easily repairable.

dave ruggles what exact model is it and where did you hear the pop from? Power supply or somewhere on the computer?
