How to factory reset
My BLU life XL is seemingly locked on the "BLU" screen and will not continue to boot up. Is there something I can do to make it more than a "brick"?

blu life xl ;you will press and hold the volume increase and power button simeultaneously , after the boot up screen is displayed an android icon that says no command,simply press the power button once again to pull up the menu

turn the phone off
then turn on while holding both power button and volume up, and home button if possible
continue holding untill you see a menu appear and choose factory reset

Volume Down + Home + Power button for a few seconds. You can release held keys when you see the Android Robot. To enter the Recovery Mode hold down the Power key for a short while. In this step use Volume buttons to select "wipe data/factory reset" and tap the Power button to confirm.

I'm not trying to put someone down, but the solution offered did not work, and I was hoping for maybe something else if anyone has an idea.
Its volume up + power. That will bring the menu up.
this worked for me:
While powering up hold the power up key till the menu appear. Then with volume down button chose factory reset and then press power button. Then select yes by scrolling down with volume down button and then select with power button.

Nothing seems to work for me. The power button won't lock the screen or holding down home + power + up or down volume doesn't reset the phone. I think it is in Demo mode but I wasn't able to reset the phone by going into settings and then about.
I have a sim card in the phone but its not allowing me to get out of the demo mode, it has has small videos popping up as advertisement every 30 seconds.
Please help!

Found a Samsung blu where it shouldn’t have been, don’t know the pin anyway to get in with out loosing wiping out data ect.

I pressed the vol up and power button. A menu come up with
Select boot mode. Vol up is select, vol down is okay.
Recovery mode
Fastboot mode
Normal mode
None really do anything. I've tried each one. It comes to no command then goes back to the home locked screen. Myhusban sleepwalks and talks. In his sleep he put a design password on but he had a number password. How can I reset his phone?
