tommaryann63 , Check the fuse first, also possible the lighter terminals on back side are loose or burnt off. You did not state the year of your Malibu. 1997-05 and 04-08 Chevrolet Malibu fuse box locations and cig. lighter fuse replacement video link below. Good luck. Did you check the 20 Amp Fuse #37 in the instrument panel fuse block is OK, you didn’t say?
