Why does my truck keep dying when I switch gears or place in neutral

@earss what year and what model? Does it idle when you first start it up? Does it idle at all or does it stall immediately?

Your idle may be set too low. Are you running the a/c? If so the vsv, an idle up valve for the a/c, may not be working properly. You can try adjusting it. If not running a/c then try adjusting the idle screw.
