Dryer does not turn on. Thermal switch replaced.

Original issue: when dryer door open light does not turn on and dryer did not stop spinning. We replaced thermal fuse. Dryer turned on. Turned dial to off did not let heat up. Turned dryer on and would not turn on. We are aware that the door switch needs to be replaced. What else might the cause be.
