Wont Turn on completely, need help
when i try turning on my ipod it flickers on and off, shows apple symbol but then turns on like as if it were reseting itself

wow, ok so yesterday i grab my opening tools and phillips #00, turns out that its the battery connector which is supposed to be connected too the logic board, well it wasnt connected and not only that, the little pieces of metal that pull the power in so it can be used were off of the logic board =[

so the connector is off the logic board? BrianTheFixit, I got a lot of those boards right in front of me. It is either a bad manufacturing job or it happens when we lift up the clip to disconnect the battery cable. I personally accidentally pried some of those off. The only way to fix it is by either having somebody very very qualified resolder it,or to replace the logic board. I do replace mine since it is less expensive. Good luck

It does sounds like a bad battery. I would definitely start with that approach. Relative easy and inexpensive fix. It is not recognized by iTunes because it does not stay on long enough. The problem is that with a totally discharged or non-functioning battery the USB may not supply enough power. Also plug the ipod directly to a USB port that comes of the motherboard usually located in the back of thecomputer.Do not use a hub or any extensions. Did anything else happen to the iPod like did it get dropped or anything like that. Of course there is always the possibility that the logic board is at fault but since the exchange of that is more costly and more involved , go with the battery at first.

its not the battery, battery was recently replaced along with the headphone jack and hold switch, but im still not sure what it is, ill be opening the ipod later on too see what i find/ figure out

Sorry , I am a little confused. So the ipod turns on, shows the screen with the Apple on it and than does what?
