Why don't they make replacement parts?!?

I have a Lenovo TB-X103F 10.1" tablet. The digitizer is trashed and I have been on the hunt for a replacement. That hunt finally took me to the Lenovo website. I entered the SN as they asked, hit the search button and guess what? They do not show anything for that SN! No returns on the manufacturer website *%^&(!!!! I even took my search to manually search to other regions around the world. You won't believe what I found!

NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I want to check with my fellow Mr. Fixits (Ms. Fixits too!). Have you ever had one of these come across your bench? I am wondering if maybe another model shares some of the same parts. I could really use some help on this one. If you have ever repaired one of these, could you please let me know your parts source?

Who knows? Maybe they put this one out as a market test and sold one! One...then they discontinued the model and went on about their business!!!

I thank you for your share, but those would be a wildly outrageous waste of a lot of money. I just want to replace the most inexpensive part of those assemblies. There is a point where it becomes cost prohibitive. Both those reach beyond that point. Just a digitizer is all I am looking for. Anything more costly would be "totaled" by insurance terminology. But I really appreciate your post.

Well then your outta luck. Your next best bet is getting some broken tablet with a good screen and transplane it

Sadly this tablet only costs about $110 US at Walmart

Over the years the value of the product often sets the availability of its parts. Today is hovering around $200 and higher in the products value. Even still you can get into products that are even in the $1000 range as in TV's were the replacement screen costs more than the TV.

I have the same issue. I tried using a Lenovo Tab 2 digitizer which looks exactly as the one in x103f, but sadly when you turn it on, the touch goes crazy. Im having a really hard time and even tried calling the manufacturer company but not even they can't get me a simple digitizer. I'm bummed.
