3 Digitizer only responds when metal frame is being held in the hand
I have an iPhone 5s I did a screen replacement on after it was dropped and cracked, after replacing the screen/lcd the customer has returned it saying the screen doesnt respond when he has it in his otterbox , So we took it out of the case and it worked great, set it down on the desk, nothing. I tried multiple screens and replacing charging port and still nothing. This device literally only works when it is "grounded" in your hand. I've taped up all contact points and tried without the heatshield/backplate and still nothing.

Yes, we know its a ground / short issue.

Does the screen work if you remove the LCD bracket?
Maybe try the motherboard and screen in a different housing.
