The click usually indicates a stuck head . If you dont have the means to pay for recovery you can try this video You may want to first remove the hard drive from the enclosure and use a SATA to USB adaptor like this to test to see if the problem was not the enclosure itself . Be ready to back up all info if you do get the drive running because any failed drive is never a drive to be trusted again . Hope this helps

Sorry to say, but when a HDD is plugged in and clicks for a few seconds then stops it means that some part of the drive hardware has failed.

You can try taking the drive out of the enclosure and plugging into a computer via sata and try some data recovery software. But I'd hazard to guess it wouldn't produce results.

The only option then that I could advise would be to send the drive off to a local data recovery service.

So...basically it's dead. And my chance to recover my data is low or there is a possibility? I've heard the freezer method technique...I almost kinda want to try it but somehow I'm skeptical about this too...

I never actually never been to a local data recovery service since this is the first time I've encounter this issues. I did ask a company that offered this service and they charged around $2 to $4k is that normal for that charge within the price range.
