Black screen Display when phone display times out

I dropped my phone and cracked the screen.

The broken screen has been replace and working great.

The issue here is that, any time the auto lock functionality sets in, the phone wont come

back on and it has this black screen.

When i call the phone , i hear it ring but not on the actual device.

i have done a hard reset, restore the phone but i still have the Black screen issue.

The only way i keep my phone on is by playing music or i set the auto-lock time from "30 sec to never".

Kindly assist.
