No charge, even after AC jack replacement

I recently purchased this device off eBay knowing that it was unable to receive a charge. In the seller's pictures the device was shown to be able to turn on, but by the time the device arrived to me it had used up what little battery it had left and is now dead.

When I plug the magsafe charger in, there is no indicator light (I have tested the magsafe on other laptops and it is working).

I have tried unplugging the battery and holding the power button for 5 seconds, and I also replaced the AC jack.

I am still unable to get any indicator light/charge at all. Any advice would be helpful!

Update: I have found corrosion on the motherboard (see pictures below). I am currently cleaning with 70% rubbing alcohol (will run to store later to try and get higher). Any advice on cleaning this further?

You'll need to open the system to do an inspection. Do you see any burnt components or liquid damage? You'll likely need to pop the logic board out to check the other side. Take some pics (paste them here for us to see) if you see something odd comparing to the IFIXIT images in the guides here: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 guides

Use a soft toothbrush to help get between the pins of the video connector with the 85% or better isopropyl alcohol. Just use care as you don't want to pull any of the components off the logic board. Once you've done the scrubbing give the whole board a good wash and let it dry on a sunny window sill for a few days.

As you pulled off the heat sink you'll need to clean off the old thermal paste and apply fresh paste. Here's a good guide on how to clean and apply the new paste: How to Apply Thermal Paste before you power the logic board up.
