My phone has power but the screen is out

I have a question if y'all are still on this feed. My phone has power but the screen is out. I have tried plugging it up to my computer and exacting my files, but there is no connection between the devices. I am probably gonna have to take it to the repair shop or the store I bought it, but I don't want to pay $100 if I don't have to. This are once in a life time photos of my trips in Japan. I really don't want to lose them.
