iOS10 + mic&speak issue (feat. Siri and Bluetooth)
Coppied from Apple discussions:
[After being locked out of my account for half a day due to the painfully slow Apple two-factor Authentication Service in Brazil (which in turn happens to send a SMS from a 'common' phone number and not a distinct one, by the way) I am able to report the issues I have been having since the iOS 10 update.]
This is the first issue I have to report since I got my iPad Air in 2014.
The iOS 10 update seems to have brought some problems along with the new design, as follows:
- Siri is much faulty than before, doesn't listen;
- Siri does not catch voice commands when iPad is connected to external Bluetooth speaker* (used to work on iOS9);
- microphone stops working spontaneously and recovers only after reboot;
- speaker stops working spontaneously and recovers only after reboot (preventing myself from waking up at the right time and granting the iPad an UNSTRUSTABLE medal as an alarm clock).
*extending: Siri launches, looks for voice but suddenly states "Sorry, I didn't catch that".
The device has been through a factory reset/restore process and still presents the symptoms.
I am looking for any other users with similar experiences and probable causes/solutions.
