Reset the machine by unplugging it for five minutes. Then let us know if the issue persists and any codes you get.

I followed the instruction and unplugged my Kenmore washer for 5 minutes and so far it is working as it should.
Question: why did the Lid Lock light start flashing when it was not being used? I did a small load @ 9:00 AM this morning; yet, it was not until around 4:30 PM the light began to flash.
Also, there is no display on my Kenmore washer for any error codes to be displayed...

ghp, lid lock flashing possible lid lock problem but for the most part it is telling you there is a problem with the washer at which time you can put in diagnostic mode and retrieve error codes to tell what the problem is. Check the video links below for more info. Good luck.

How do you do diagnostic mode?
Great, except the lid lock light won't go off even after unplugging for several hours. Troubleshooting sequence won't work due to the light being on.
