I have a similar problem. It seems that another remote in the building is taking over my tv and cannot use my remote. The red light blinks and modes change at random times. When that happens I can only use the buttons on the tv itself . I don't think I will have control unless I move the tv in another room. Plus my playstation is being turned on in the middle of the night. I'm stumped !
have you tried removing the batteries from the remote control and see if that stops the changes? Also there isn't a light switch being operated or an appliance starting when this happens by any chance?
