Had my iPhone's battery replaced, after being drained, it won't charge

I just had my iPhone 5's battery replaced last Saturday and it had been working just fine (battery lasts longer, charging properly) until this morning when I woke up to it drained. I tried plugging it to the wall charger and into my laptop but it won't show anything - not the "needs to charge" or "charging" signs and it won't turn on. I tried the reset thing, holding to the power and home button simultaneously for an entire minute and no Apple logo appeared. Nothing ever actually appeared on my dead black screen ever since it got drained. Take note that this is the first time it was drained ever since I had its battery replaced. I also got myself a new cable because I thought it was the culprit the whole time but it won't work either. I've been looking up stuff to resolve this issue on the internet and nothing seems to work. I need my phone badly so please help me. Thank you very much!

Can I ask why you replaced the original battery? Just not lasting as long as it used to?

Sometimes the charging IC chip on the iPhone 5 can become damaged during a battery replacement. So far I can tell, simply disconnecting the original battery can be enough to cause it. It's usually not due to any kind of technician error, just the fact that Apple installed a very flimsy charge chip on all the fives in order to save themselves a couple pennies per phone. If the chip is indeed damaged, it is possible to have it repaired but you'd probably have to send it off. Also, there's a chance that the new battery is faulty

I'd go with faulty battery first over faulty Tristar U2 Charging IC chip. Although the chip is basically sitting on solder balls as it's BGA (ball grid array) mounted.
