Has anyone replaced their original hard drive with a 250GB SATA drive?

Has anyone replaced the original 1.8" 4200 rpm 80 GB hard drive in the original MacBook Air Model A1237 with the 250 GB 5400 rpm disk drive that Mayer found in the following thread:

Is it possible to upgrade MacBook Air hard drive beyond 120GB?

As I understand it the original 1.8" 4200 RPM 80 GB disk drive is an ATA drive that uses a PATA/ZIF connector.

The Toshiba MK2529GSG HDD1F07 is a 250 GB 5400 RPM Serial ATA drive.

Will the ZIF connector work with this SATA drive? Is the ZIF connector a converter of sorts? Will there be excessive heat? What can one expect in terms of performance?

Thanks in advance!

The hard drive that mayer linked will not work in this computer. A ZIF connection is basically a ribbon cable, not compatible with the plastic SATA connectors. You can see the ZIF connector in step 15 of this guide.
