Samsung tv had large purple horizontal line
Samsung TVs LNT5271FX/XAA
Last February I changed the busted compacitors. Could this be another bad compacitor?

Just for completion sake. Isolated error like the Horizontal line is a loss of signal to the LCD display. This is not a board issue or a ribbon cable issue, but a Failed Gate driver. Those are IC that are mounted on the flex cables bonded to the LCD panel, also called COF (chips on film). Ultimately this is very difficult to fix (if at all) depending on the panel model. For the DIY'er this most often means to find a replacement panel.

its not a capacitor. does this happen on other inputs?

Yes, it happens on all the inputs. It does go away but sometimes it take awhile.

this problem is most likely the LCD panel.. did you check the flat cable?

Flat cable? I am not sure which one you are talking about could u be specific?

most of the time its a flat cable problem ( this is a thin cable or bunck of thin cable's running from the PCB to to glas lcd panel ( your screen) due to heat and dust it is possible the cable burns or ..) or its a t con based problem . i drop a link : maybe it will be helpfull : LN46A530P1FXZA_1.pdf
