washer leaning back, springs are intact, quiet when emtpy

At first I though the rear balance spring was broken due to loud banging sound during the spin cycle. The spring is intact and the three other springs look evenly loaded (none stretched out more than the other). This lead to watching it spin when empty - The drum is leaning back (enough that the rear part of the ring is behind the lip and leans further back when spinning. It has roughly a 1 inch shimmy as it spins. When empty it runs very smoothly, no issues, no banging and whisper quiet but you can see the lean and shimmy. It started all of a sudden. I can see why it would be banging when loaded due to the issues above and maybe a little further leaning. Why is it leaning back? Did a snubber pad in the back break and fall out or something? I have the shroud off what do I look for?

It's the drum that is leaning back, not the entire washer

Upon closer inspection the shimmy is more like half an inch. The triangle base does not look like it has any cracks, no broken plastic pieces that look like snubber pad underneath, and lifting the rear for any auto level does not seem to be changing anything, but how far would I need to lean it forward? I'd say it was tilted to 45 degree angle forward. If it has it I don't think that would adjust the motor/bowl tilt though because the base/housing is level. when I tilt the bowl forward it seems very smooth in all directions, no grinding, squeaking, etc sounds are made when tilting. the bowl forward

Most Frequent Causes for Washer is making loud noise

Cause 1

Tub Bearing

The tub bearing is mounted in the middle of the outer tub. The tub bearing helps to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. Replacing the tub bearing is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer. If the tub bearing is defective, we recommend replacing both the outer tub and bearing as an assembly if the manufacturer offers the components together.

Cause 2

Tub Seal and Bearing Kit

The tub bearing is mounted in the middle of the outer tub. The tub bearing helps to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. If the washer is noisy during the spin cycle or is leaking from the bottom of the tub near the transmission, the tub seal and bearing are likely defective. Replacing the tub bearing is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer. If the tub bearing is defective, we recommend replacing the outer tub and bearing at the same time.

Cause 3

Rear Drum with Bearing

The rear drum has a bearing or bearings in it to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. If the tub bearing system is defective the washer can become very noisy. On some machines bearings are sold separately from the rear drum, however we recommend replacing both the outer drum and bearing as an assembly if the manufacturer offers the components together because removing and pressing in the new bearing can be exceptionally difficult. Be aware that replacing the outer tub and bearing is also not easy and can be very costly.

But why is it leaning back? The whole drum unit inner/outer/motor is leaning back as one piece.

@stewfish based on this "When empty it runs very smoothly, "the only other thing that I can think off is a bad balance ring. If it does not have anymore fluid in it, it can not do its job. Check on here, different model, same idea.

I popped the top off the drum and it seems as though the white ringbon top is stuck solidly to the unit, and not a balance ring....???

Sorry for grammar - sent by my phone. Ringbon = ring on

Do you have a serail number for your washer? It may herlp us to find more information on that. The white top would have to come out somehow since that would have to be removed to replace the tub......

serial cx2539851

The ring under the top ring that pops off appears to be solidly attached to the inner drum.
