Not able to update automatically

I recently had a boot loop error because of bad battery, but i doubted the recent update and tried using lg pc suite to restore the update, but i ended up bricking my phone. So, i flashed my phone and installed stock lg files, now i am not able to recieve updates and i am scared to use lg pc suite, please help, i want to upgrade to 6.0
