Corroded part under click-pad

I am working with a MacBook Pro A1502 that shows the Apple Logo, and the progress indicator get about 1/3rd complete then shuts off. I took the back cover off and immediately saw that an IC board under the click-pad but towards the front lip had heavy corrosion. I am trying to identify this part and I need your help!

See the pic I added, it clearly shows the part I need help identifying. It's about one half inch wide by 3.5 inches long and sits directly under the front lip of the touch-pad.

BTW, the Apple Hardware test give back these two Codes: Reference Code: PFM006 (SMC) and PPN001 (Power management.)

WHAT THE DEVIL is that thing????? I'd really like a part number if at all possible!

Thanks in advance!

Glen

Update (06/22/2016)

How about the codes? Could corrosion on this part cause the codes?

@comstox not very easy to identify the part based on your directions. Take some good pictures of your part in question and post those images with your question. Use this guide 在已经存在的问题里加入图片 for that.

OldTurkey, I did add a good pic and a better description. Could you please review it and see if you can identify the part? Thank you!

@comstox check the teardown step 18. That is the back of your trackpad :-)

lolololol, Oh brother.... I'm going to have to change my screen name to: PlianOleTurkey! lol - You know that was the very first thing I looked up and the pics I looked at did NOT have that on chip on the back. Maybe I looked up the wrong part?

Thank you both very much! I appreciate your guidance and clarification.

I think you are talking about the latch assembly.

Mayer, it is a small circuit board, not a latch. I added a good picture. Please review it and see if it helps.

Thank you!
