Replacing Japanese Key Layout to US one. A1502 Topcase.

I have a Macbook pro 13" Retina late 2013 model, A1502.

I bought it from Japan, and JP keyboard layout is different from US one. Mine has a Keyboard problem. 'F' key doesn't working. I tried to get 'A1502' Japanese Keyboard Replacement part, but there is no parts in Aliexpress, alibaba or ebay. I couldn't find it from anywhere. So I have a question about changing keyboard Topcase to US layout. Changing different layout topcase and keyboard from JP to US, If the model, A1502 is same, is it working? I swear I will not use a swear starting as 'F'. Any idea will be very grateful. thank you.

I've had both Korean and Arabian keyboard machines come in with the same request. The problem on both was that the US keyboard had a different number on keys and spacing of keys so I had to replace the uppercase on both. Just replacing the keyboard would not work. The uppercase replacement worked fine.

I really appreciate for your very very grateful reply.

To make sure, so you mean that if the model A1502 is the same, Japanese Keys and Spacing layout uppercase can be replaced to US layout uppercase, and the macbook works fine?

I'm ready to order US uppercase. Thank you. :)

Well that's what I did. You do have to go into the setting in preferences and change the keyboard afterwards, I then zapped the PRAM for it to recognize it.

Thank you so much. It was the best reply for me :)

Do you still have the Japanese keyboard for the Mac?

Both had water damage. And they were for 15" machines. I do have an Apple aluminum external wired Japanese keyboard.
