MacBook Pro no longer recognized WiFI, Bluetooth, or Camera?
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
- OS X El Capitan
- 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
- NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
So after attempting to tighten my screen so it's not frustratingly loose and has so much play in it, I ended up apparently making things worse! After putting it all back together I noticed when I checked my wifi in my status bar it said "Hardware is not installed" and for Bluetooth it says "Not Available" and after trying the camera, it is not detecting that either. When I go to see more information in System Report and clicking on Camera it says "No video capture devices were found." For Bluetooth it says "No information found.". For WiFi it says:
Software Versions:
- CoreWLAN: 11.0 (1101.20)
- CoreWLANKit: 11.0 (1101.20)
- Menu Extra: 11.0 (1110.33)
- System Information: 11.0 (1100.1)
- IO80211 Family: 11.1 (1110.26)
- Diagnostics: 5.1 (510.88)
- AirPort Utility: 6.3.6 (636.5)
As of now I have no choice but to stayI have tried NVRAM reset, SMC reset. Can anyone point to what could be the issue? I did have to unplug and reattach the camera cable. I used this guide to take apart in order to tighten the loose hinges. Thanks in advance!! MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 Display Replacement
Here's a couple of pictures I took of the connection now. The first picture is when I insert it, the second picture is with the wire unplugged, the third picture is at a different angle with the wire plugged in, and the fourth is the best I could take of the port
I hope it's not any kind of internal damage and that at most, it is just a wire replacement but if worse comes to worse I'll have to buy a WiFi/Bluetooth adapter. Thanks so much again!
