Screen frozen with digital lines
After a soft reset, home screen is frozen and unresponsive with some digital blur lines

Kindle likes to do this when the design capacity of the battery is too low.
Replacing the battery solved the problem for me when my wife's kindle had the same problem, but it was more expensive than buying another one!
Consider a new kindle if the cost of repair exceeds the value .

Opps, seems like one of your answers got deleted on another question by a moderator.
If the cost of a battery is more than the machine. why not get something better that is repairable?
