Does the camera come with chargeable batteries?
The batteries runs out fast, and the batteries are expensive to replace every time. I use the camera a lot and it would be more efficient if the batteries can be recharged.

You can use NiMH rechargeable batteries in this camera. A set of good quality NiMH cells will actually last longer than a set of alkaline single-use cells. Two sets of 4 cells and a decent charger will set you back about $30. Go for the better quality cells, these advertise slightly lower capacity (usually 2300mAh rather than 2700mAh or up) but last longer and don't loose half their charge if you let them sit around unused for a month after charging.
Pro tip: small plastic boxes are available that neatly hold one set of 4 cells. I highly recommend their use, since they allow you to avoid carrying loose NiMH cells in your pocket.
