Why does the alarm go off randomly?
The alarm goes off randomly, sometimes without setting the time.
One possible reason for this is that a button is stuck setting the alarm clock on its own. Try to press on each of the buttons to make sure none of them are getting stuck before trying anything else.
If this does not fix it, remember that there is a battery on the bottom of the clock to allow for time keeping to continue in the event of a power outage. This allows the alarm to still go off without using other features. You can disconnect the battery from the alarm to fix this.
One last thing, make sure that you have pressed the correct button to turn off the alarm. If you have not, the alarm will continue to go off for the time that it has been set.
Hope this helps!
It could be a problem with low battery. Low battery can reset the clock and its previous alarms. Try installing a new battery and see if it solves your problem.
You probably hit the nap button by accident. My daughter had this issue and it took a while to figure out why the alarm goes off about 1.5 hours after she goes to sleep. If you hit the nap button you will see a n90-n80 and so on. This indicates how long until the buzzer goes off for a nap. Make sure you keep hitting the nap button until you get to off.
I had a radio clock in my bedroom and it was plugged into the wall and I was on the couch and it went off. The alarm wasn’t even set and it doesn’t have a battery in it. Can anyone explain that. I’m really creeped out.
We had an electric clock go off at 1:30 am. It sits on top of a flat screen tv, and has NEVER been set. Not once, ever. Two other different it weird, but possibly explainable, events (long stretch but maybe) in a 24 hr period.
I just had the same thing happen to me. I have a Smart Clock sitting on top of my cable box in my living room (just off my bedroom) and it went off at 12:15 and I have never touched that clock to set a time or run on alarm. Didn't know how to shut it off so unplugged it and now fine. What or who put alarm on? In am will check to see if it has a battery. Nothing like this has happened with it before?
About once or twice a week, the alarm (not the radio) on an iHome iBT230 clock radio would go off at 5:59 AM. No alarm had been set; it was in the kitchen and used not as an alarm clock, but as a kitchen clock and radio. This week I retired it and replaced it with a cheapie from Walmart. This morning the exact same thing happened with the new radio! With no alarm set, the alarm (not the radio) went off at 5:59 AM!
Both radios had a USB cable connected so I could charge my iPhone. The radio normally sits on a counter very close to my WiFi router. Any ideas?
I have even unplugged ours and it will still go off a few times a day...
I have an alarm clock that gets bright like the sun to help wake me up, and sometimes it acts like its trying to get my attention. Usually, just unplugging it for a while fixes the problem.
Today my nature alarm clock would not stop chirping... Even after I unplugged it. There was no battery in it... But when I touched the part where the 9volt attaches, it stopped.

I have had a problem twice with this older alarm clock that has a slide button to set the alarm..but the scary thing is that we just use it to look at the time never use it for an alarm and the two times it has went off was at different times and with no power outage..I know it sounds crazy but I wouldn't be writing this if I had a logical explanation..please help lol.

It doesn't sound crazy to me, it happened to me about 2 months ago which was 1 year after my 95 year old mother died. I always talked to my mother about giving me a sign, any sign that your alright once she was gone and this was a year to the day that I truly believe it was her. So, I was in bed and my alarm went off, it rang 3 times, my cat jumped up too because he doesn't like alarms, so I got up to turn it off and by the time I got to my clock it stopped on its own. I looked anyway to make sure it wasn't set to go off even though I knew I didn't set the alarm. I live alone and I'm retired so never get up earlier anymore. I really believe it was my mother because she would tell me, I should get up earlier because I'm wasting my day by sleep so late and the fact that I've told her many times to give me a sign that she's ok, once she leaves this earth.convinced it was her. I'm 70 years old and never in my life did without being set, so I must be crazy too because I'm also very logical.
