Why does my device not turn on?

This could mean that your power cord is broken, frayed or cut. In order to restore power back to your Mr. Rice SC-887 you will need to acquire a completely new power cord. Even if your power cord isn't broken or frayed it could still be the cause due to an internal problem with it. If your cord is connected properly and your device is still not working, it could mean that your internal circuitry is corrupt. In this case, the circuitry needs to be closely examined and restored to get power back in your rice cooker.
