@stackprogramer it does not matter what model you will work on, the basic tools are pretty much the same. Start off with a set like this. You will also need a hot air gun (no link since it will depend where you live) and a good work light as well as a magnifying source. So something like this will get you started. Do not forget to get a multimeter. That is a definite must have. Once you get deeper into the repairs, you will find that there are always one or two tools that you will have to add.

You may want to start by practicing on some "scrap" phones. Even if they are Apple products. Taking them apart and putting them back together. Amazon has the tools you will need for most brands of cell phones. You probably want to buy a full set of "T" drivers. They look like mini screw drivers, but have a different head for "Star" or "T" head screws.
