Broken ipad air touch screen connector clip

I recently changed my ipad air digitizer & somehow broke the clip that locks in the touch screen flex cable connector. I have searched & searched but have had no luck finding a new clip or even a replacement connector with the clip. Ive read a few stories about people being successful using duct tape as a temporary fix on earlier models of the ipad, does anyone know if that works on the ipad air?
