Won't load stuck on screen

I have Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 which Is a few years old now it is stuck on Samsung Galaxy note 10.1. I have tried press start and up/down volume button and it goes to next screen continue / restart.......then goes to downloading do not turn off target and goes no further. If there anything else I can try to get it to load. If note can this sort of problem be fixed?
