Can I replace the logic board with a slower one?

I have a g5 2.7 dp that needs a new logic board. Can I replace it with a 2.4 dp or less speed?

The three logic boards carry different part numbers:

661-3543 2.0

661-3584 2.3

661-3585 2.7

I think that you can,but keep in mind this guide for the MDD models. Read this article in

the main problem for upgrade the Processor is the mother board for G4 PPC MDD models and could be the same issue for G5 PPC. But if you going to replace a faster one for a slow, should be OK!
