Gap between chrome bezel and backshell

Hi, I have a 3gs which as a result of having been dropped has partly separated between the chrome bezel and the backshell, in the area around the ringer on/off switch. The plastic switch is now not in register with the electrical switch inside. As the back shell and bezel are shown as one part, I am not sure if they are glued or just snapped together. If they are snapped together I may be able by using a spudger to spring the back shell back into its correct position to avoid a complete strip down. Any advice on this issue would be very helpful!

i'm sure someone out there knows a trick or two, but the best and safest way is to take the screen off, take out mother board and then you can get to the volume buttons (they are put in very strangely!) then you'll be able to close the bezel properly.i think just spudging is more likely to crack the shell and you still won't be able to pull the silly volume buttons forward to get them in place properly.

I had the same problem from the same reason...

Note that chrome bezel is glued on (something sticky objects hold it) shell and chrome bezel is made of metal.

Metal never turns back its original shape again.

So that replacing chrome bezel is the best way I think, but it will be a long and tough way...
