zacstar, you should try to put some chicken in the rice, but not a phone. It will not prevent corrosion nor will it fix the phone. It is an absolute myth to use rice for any water damaged device. It is the equivalent of doing nothing. What you should do is to disassemble your phone using this guide. than you need to clean each and every part with a high grade isopropyl alcohol. While you are cleaning it, check for any obvious damage or missing components. Once you have it properly cleaned, reassemble it, replace the battery and re-evaluate. This should also enable you to fix the phone and find the proper owner, before the owner reports this phone as lost and has it blocked, which will render it useless.
