My surface won't charge

My Surface RT had strange power issue too. Clean connectors, never any evidence of a weak battery, and TWO good power supplies, but I came to it one morning, and was dead. It wouldn't boot. The power connector light would not come on. I searched the web and tried everything. Tested (passed) and switched out power supplies (I had 2 already), clean connections, tried plugging in right side up, up side down. On/off, hard reset. Nothing worked. I was still getting just the screen with the Low-power/Not-plugged-in; Shutting Down logo. Having tried the easy things, I put a away for a few weeks (I was in no hurry). I just checked out this forum and was going to check it one last time to see if it would charge. I just now plugged it in, light turns on, and it booted up. Weirdly enough, I didn't even have to hit the power button. It just came to. So of course, I shut it off so the battery can charge back up. My advice if you have weird power issue that can't be explained, before you throw it away, or tear it open, put aside and wait for a long while. Presumably, for reasons that I cannot explain, giving the battery power to 100% discharge may have had an impact on allowing the surface to suddenly see the connector and work again. I don't know and cant explain why it should work, just that in my case it seems to have had a positive impact. Will post tomorrow with update.
