kindle model no D00901 not working at all!

I used to live in the USA when my mom bought it, around in 2011-2012.It hasn't been used since a few months since it was bought. I started charging it today that is August 8th 2015. I have charged it for a few hours but still no response. I tried a few things on in reference to the internet advices such as holding down the power button for 30 seconds but still no change.

The light bulb shows dark yellow/orange color when i plug it in to charge.

It hasn't been used almost at all from when it was bought in 2011-12. Now i live in india from 2012 ,till date. So what are my options please reply fast as i urgently need it working to download my textbooks for college and start studying for my exams in september first week.
