Changed the Display, but it doesn't work right

Hello,

I changed my Display on the Nexus 5, but when I turn on the phone, I get only a picture on the right half of the display.

By the way, I forgot to remove the protective cover backside of the display, could this be the reason?

Ok, my friend came over here, and then he saw that the glass inside of the display with all the contacts on it was broken. That was the reason.
