My Asus does not charge batery - and does not work
My computer stopped charging the battery,
but working, and when discharged battery,
the computer does not work again.
I already bought new AC but without success.

Step 01
Remove the battery and boot with AC adapter.
Step 02
Remove both power source (AC and battery ) Press and hold power button 15 Sec and after 2mins reinsert battery and connect the charger. press power button
Step 03
Open RAM cover and remove RAMs and clean the slots and reinstall RAMs. try to power on

oops! that's mean totally dead it now? can you see any LED indication? Beep tone or sound of fan running when press power button
Would this apply to my D500m as well? i keep reading to remove the battery and such, i dont have an easily removed battery. Is this correct?

Previously the asus worked but they left to charge battery with pc turn on.
When the battery charge is over the PC turned off,

That's mean the fault coming from your motherboard. how about your repair skills? shall we teardown the notebook? there are few thing to check in motherboard. most probably MOSFECT failure.

i have a Asus N550JV with the same problem, the notebook is out of warranty so i did send it to a proffessional repaircompany.
They could not repair the notebook, but where able to remove the safetychip that was blocking, and they made on my request a internal connection in a way that the notebook is starting again but without charging the battery, so now it is a sort of desktop .
Is yours already repaired and id so , do you know what was wrong and how it is fixed ?
