The clip on my PRAM battery broke

My iMac EMC 2105 is set up more like a G5 inside, except with Intel clips. When I went to replace the PRAM battery, it was the kind with the metal clip. I didn't know what that was, and in trying to get the battery out, the clip broke. Is there any way to fix the clip, or remove the battery holder and replace it? If not, could I "McGuyver" something to keep the battery in: SuperGlue the clip back together? Electric tape? Rubber bands?

The battery bay are standard parts. This one could do the job. Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock at Digi-Key, but i'm shure you can get one at the electronic dealer of your choice. Or cannibalize one of any old motherboard with a coin cell. Soldering the thing in is straightforward.

I was able to use a paperclip bending it to match the pressure point on the 2032 battery. I bent one end so it was about 3/16 in and pushed it into the space where part of the old clip was. It seems to work.

I used an epoxy solder made by MG Chemicals. It is silver solder and it sets hard in 15 min at 90 degrees. I was able to attach wires to the logic board and run to the new battery holder which I have mounted on the rear. Will post youtube video today or tomorrow showing how it went. The solder works well, requires no heat if you let it set for 12 hrs at room temp. It does cost $36.00 on Amazon. My original solution with a paperclip fell to the bottom of the CPU and I have never found it. This does work.
