device it´s not charging after a little water test

Hi, my device it´s not charging, apart from that all it´s ok, i was just doing a water test...

in less than a 2 mins air bubbles appear in the sim port, i took it outside the water and it start to reboot with apparent sim problem then i pull off the sim, then i dry the phone with mi shirt, it restarted again and then it was working normally.

After that i put it on rice all night, but in the morning i wanted to charge it and afeter 5 seconds plugged the led turns off and appears like disconected, what can i do? thank u!

I won't ask why you were doing a water test, no good thing can come out of that...

You may want to take the device apart and give it a clean with 99% Isopropyl alcohol and a fine tooth brush. I tend to soak in the solution then clean with a brush but you could typically have corrosion within the connectors causing the connection to fail intermittently.

Hopefully this will help, if not you might need to replace that part, although my knowledge of Sony Xperia phones is limited, not sure if this would be a solder job or not..
