Why does my display look strange after first sleep / power off?

I bought a new phone (Jiayu S3 Advanced) and it seems to be a pretty great little machine -- but it has one problem.

About 15-20 mins after I do a fresh install / wipe, the screen gets lines in it. Image : http://j17i.imgup.net/IMG_2015057e80.jpg Its like the color is being stolen from one area horizontally to the other areas.

I learned this after it did it the first time. Yay! Its fixed. 15 mins later it slowly fades in ... %#*@^@.

Anyone have any ideas?
