victorgoldwire, you will have to open it up and check the capacitors on the power supply as well as the main fuse.

All fuses checked ok. All capacitors look good. No leaks or bulges.

Z sustain is powet to the pane. Dark panel picture points to common mode driver.

I'm nearly 100% certain it's the y-sustain board. "Loud pop sound" is dead giveaway. I heard this complaint at least a dozen times with HP TV's specifically back in the day. If you spend some time on Google I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion. Like I said, it was a very common issue.

Tv power button glows red. Power turns tv on, but displays dark whitewash before turning on yo a grayish output of regular programming. Can watch tv but all channels are grey. Which board should I get to fix my problem? Thanks. Edgar
