I recently purchased and installed a new battery in my iPhone 5. After installation the phone powered on fine and worked for 6-8 hours. The next day the phone wont power on and wont charge either by computer or wall brick. The vibrate switch also does nothing. I took it back apart and checked all connections and no problems there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you put the insulator from the original onto the new battery plug?. If not, this can cause a short when touching the metal shield screwed on over it. Also you may need to check the Lightning port, to see if that may also be an issue. As always, try with a different cord and different points of charge to verify it's not any of those things.
