Ssd upgrade and what would I need to keep office.
I use a macbook air 128gb ssd for work and home. I would like to upgrade the ssd to the 512gb i found here at ifixit.com. Would i have to re buy microsoft office or could it be transferred.
I assume you are asking this because you don't have the original setup disk or file for Word and you plan to install a clean copy of OSX on the new SSD. You can do a time machine backup to an external drive and then migrate the applications back using the migration utility or you could restore the entire system to the new drive.
这个答案有帮助吗?
No i dont have a disc it was a digital download from my work for free. If i do a time machine backup to the new ssd would i be able to swap out the internal old with the new and everything still be registered in example would microsoft office be fully activated.
Yes, activation should be retained. In fact I just did this with a system last week with Office 2011.
