Battery always showing 0%-unknown

Hello, after reading several of these articles and trying out several methods to fix my Google Nexus 7, the problem I have of having charging issues sometimes cannot be permanently fixed as well as the problem of the battery always showing up as 0%-unknown. I want to know if the battery sensor is in the battery unit and if a battery replacement would fix the issue and as for the charging issue what would be a good way to fix it? Would i have to tighten the battery socket unit? Thank you very much

I have the same problem and would also like to know what to do. I have tried everything from changing the microsd/headphone jack and pressing all the buttons rebooting. unplugging the battery. i agree its something to do with the battery sensor, but where is it???!!! or maybe the connecting charging ribbon which is underneath the battery and goes from the microsd to the battery.

Anyone know where the battery sensor is on Nexus 7 2012 1st gen?

Hi there,

I read this post and thought maybe this schematic diagram for the Nexus 7 2012 could help you find your answer, it's a complete circuitry diagram. Just copy and paste the link in your browsers address bar... hope it helps you and if it does then come back here and let everyone know! Cheers

Thanks Slicksheady

That schematic is more than I was hoping for. I will look through it plus I know someone who works on circuit boards maybe the can shed some light.

I was wondering if you also have access to the schematic for the Nexus 7 Battery?

There is a circuit board connected to the Battery cells and I think this might be faulty.
