Why wont my tablet boot up?

I have just recently downloaded a software update for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. After the update I went to turn the tablet on. It showed the first screen with the device name on it, then it showed he second with the samsung logo that lights up blue in between the letters. The tablet stayed on that screen until it ran out of power. It is still doing the same thing. Can anyone help me?
