Headphone audio jack wont play left earbud
It doesn't matter how many pairs of ear buds/headphones i use the left one will never work when i plug it into my 3ds
Nintendo handheld device released February 2011, identified by model number CTR-001.
The most likely cause of this problem is a loose headphone jack inside the console. This is a fairly common problem. The solder is not strong enough on the headphone jack and causes a loose connection.
This is a fairly easy fix if you have some soldering skills. You just need to heat up the solder to remelt it. I always add a little extra solder to be sure it lasts a long time.
I hope this helps.
Try changing the sound setting to stereo. The 3DS is automatically on surround sound. Headphones and earphones were not made for surround sound. So if this simple fix doesn't help send your DS to Nintendo. You risk damaging earphones and the DS if you keep wiggling for sound.
