Hey all,
Recently I had done a simple screen repair on a 5c and after it was complete I noticed WiFi didn't work. So I tore the phone down and noticed the gold cap was broken on the WiFi antenna. So I replaced that part too. Now after that, the WiFi is still grayed out. So, I did a factory reset- still, no dice. Any helpful ideas out there?

Mmmmmm if you have replaced the part and restored the iPhone then it's looking like a logic board problem

Hmmm. That's too bad. Is there anything else on the WiFi connector that Im not seeing that could be preventing WiFi reception? Like a gold connector that might be misaligned? And If it is the logic board, do you know the replacement cost on it?
Just make sure the clip clicks inplace on the logic board

I recently been having the same problem and I have tried everything to fix it . My wifi is greyed out and sometimes I can even turn it on and it still wont connect to wifi . Was wifi working prior to the screen replacement ?

Unfortunately I didn't check. The phone was in pretty bad shape so I couldn't verify that. After taking it apart to inspect I noticed the gold cap was in pretty bad shape. Im thinking it might be something to do with the logic board, but I really hope not. Any ideas from you?
