Dropped my htc one in water;it works but with touch issues.

My htc one dropped in water and i got it out immediately and opened it up to dry overnight.unfortunately,i didn't remember the rice trick.i turned it on the following day and it was varing in issues with my turning on and off.left it open a little longer and then it started working well except that the bottom touch pads were misbehaving and whenever i plugged it into my laptop or to power,the entire touch sense looses coordination.also,whenever my phone locks and i try to unlock it,its as if the screen looses all touch sense until i remove and place the battery,starting up the phone again.this is why i have had to put the backlight time out to 30 mins which runs the battery down.its over 2 weeks now,i hope i can find a solution for this as i cannot afford to buy another phone right now.thank you.
